Forge World Releases Kharn the Bloody

Forge World adds a fan-favourite to their Horus Heresy Character Series – Kharn, not yet the Betrayer, but the Bloody.

A nice, dynamic (if oddly reminiscent of the recent Forge World Angron’s pose) of a classic 40K villain.

#1 – Kharn the Bloody

Kharn the Bloody

A skilled warrior and duellist, Khârn was a line captain at the time of Angron’s rediscovery, but soon rose to become his Primarch’s equerry and one of the few whose counsel he heeded. It was Khârn who acted as the voice of reason for Angron, often bringing his master back from the brink of insanity and curbing the worst of his bloody excesses.

But Khârn was by no means immune to the cancerous rage which afflicted his Legion, and it was upon the ravaged surface of Isstvan III that he first surrendered himself fully to the bloodshed and slaughter. At the height of the battle, Khârn fell during a confrontation with Garviel Loken of the Sons of the Horus, impaled upon the ram of a Land Raider and left for dead by his own comrades. Somehow he survived and his eventual return to the front line was seen by many World Eaters as nothing short of miraculous, a sure sign that he still had some dark destiny to achieve in the bloody days to come.

Kharn the Bloody new Miniatures

#3 – Thoughts?

The miniature is a conservative take, for sure. The axe-pose taken from Angron and the naked arm from the classic Kharn miniature, all that for a GBP 30,- Space Marine miniature?

Tough to justify, but the name of Kharn will be a big draw for many, I would think. Unlike the Primarch miniatures, it might even find a place in a few high-class Chaos Space Marine armies.

Do you like the miniature? Is it worth the price-tag?

belverker: “I love the model, is he worth £30 probably not, am i going to buy him, you bet he is easily the best character from the horus heresy novels. after d’shae or however it is spelt in 1 of the short story collection, butchers nails, betrayer and the eightfold path are his best appearances. He is bloody great in betrayer”

Craig_Rhys: “Prior to the HH novels, didnt think much of kharn. After reading betrayer though he is easily almost as cool as Loken. The price tag is a little heavy (but with forge world, when is it not?) but the styling is awesome so perhaps ill try to save up”
